Congrats to Hemanth Pillai who received the student poster award at the Southeastern Catalysis Society annual symposium at Atlanta, 2018. He presented his work on ammonia electro-oxidation mechanism studies using constant potential DFT.

Congrats to Dr. Liang Yu for the Nat. Commun. paper on ammonia synthesis. This is in collaboration with Feng's group at UCF. Here we report efficient electroreduction of N2 to NH3 on palladium nanoparticles in phosphate buffer solution under ambient conditions. 

Dr. Xin received the 2018 Dean's Award for Outstanding New Assistant Professor in recognition of extraordinary performance.
